I started playing 8 players games but as soon as the game begins people leave due to bad start (tundra or desert). Then i created 6 player games and people will stay a little bit longer (around 50 turns). Over all the games i played, i only finished one. I rushed religion and made on purpose less points than the opponent so he would not leave and i succeded. Maybe something simple could be done by simply creating game modes more arcade like so that games are quicker and people won't leave as soon as they feel overwhelmed. Maybe simply hide the score board i don't know. There is just no point in playing multiplayer games right now because you are sure it will be a waste of time. Please don't suggest me to play with friends because in order to do that, you need to know people who enjoy playing civilisation 6 in multiplayer which is rare. Personally, I have several issues with "competitive" Civ play. The most obvious one is that, I love end game. I love modern warfare in Civ, although over the games they keep simplifying modern warfare, I enjoy it and the vast majority of multiplayer games don't even touch the modern age. The next issue is RNG is way too punishing. Then there's the Civs themselves, where Civs that are specifically stronger in the early game end up being the "best" Civs. I won't name the channel, but I've seen Civ rankings for multiplayer and in almost every instance, they rank Civz with early bonuses or early unique units higher than "modern" Civ (like America for example) and I sort of don't enjoy that. It essentially tosses away any individuality or uniqueness a Civ might have for the meta game. CIVILIZATION 6 MULTIPLAYER ISSUES SERIESĮssentially, the Civ "meta" isn't really meta.
